Thanks for letting me introduce myself. My name is Marty Larson. I am a graduate of Rapid City Central HS and the South Dakota School of Mines. After several years using my engineering degree, I decided to pursue my dreams of flying for a living. I've found instructing to be my true passion, and am happy to be able to teach in single engine airplanes, gliders, and for your instrument rating.
I am a member of our local EAA chapter (Black Hills Chapter 39), a member of the West River FAA Safety Team (www.faasafety.gov), and a member and instructor at the Black Hills Soaring Club (www.SoarBlackHills.com).
I have been fortunate to have great students with a wide variety of backgrounds. Some have been brand-new to flying, some have had previous interruptions in their training and returned to finish their training with me, and some have decided to continue to upgrade their pilot skills and privileges. I strive to get to know all of my students in a way that will maximize their learning potential, and enjoy seeing them succeed in their training.
I look forward to meeting you, and discussing your aviation goals and how I might be able to help you accomplish them.
